5. Educational Compliance

AdaptEd is designed to support schools and districts in meeting federal and state educational technology requirements:

  • CIPA (Children's Internet Protection Act): AdaptEd operates as a controlled educational environment. The platform does not provide open internet access. All content is teacher-created, AI-generated within educational guardrails, or sourced from curriculum-aligned materials. Schools using AdaptEd can include it as part of their CIPA-compliant technology stack, though schools remain responsible for their overall internet safety policies.
  • FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act): We protect the confidentiality of student educational records through role-based access controls, data minimization practices, and secure data handling. Teachers and administrators access only the student data necessary for their educational role.
  • COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act): For users under 13, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information. We collect only information necessary for educational purposes and provide parents with rights to review, delete, and control their child's data.
